Our story
We began our journey as Standard Chartered nexus, a white-label Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) solution, which enables embedding of Standard Chartered’s financial products via partner ecosystems to acquire unbanked segments of customers.
Today, the demand for a seamless digital banking experience has created a business imperative for incumbent banks to diversify their technology strategy to bring new products and services to market rapidly, whilst managing the constraints of their legacy infrastructure. Utilising our technology capabilities and years of know-how from past implementations, we spun-off into audax, to enable more clients to scale and modernise with our modularised capabilities.

Meet the leadership team driving audax
Chief Executive Officer
Based in Singapore, Kelvin leads the build of the platform with a vision to connect multiple ecosystems, starting from financial services. He has held a number of roles in Standard Chartered, ranging from Transaction Banking to Retail Products and Payments to Strategic Programmes. Prior to that, Kelvin has taken on various roles spanning consumer finance, transaction banking and FMCG, covering product, analytics, business management and research.
Chief Product & Commercial Officer
Based in Singapore, Sachin leads product development and commercial partnerships for audax. He is a product and business development leader with a passion for driving sustainable and profitable growth by giving consumers an unparalleled banking experience. A competent strategist, Sachin has strong expertise across credit/debit cards, personal loans, deposits, payments, and bancassurance.
Chief Technology Officer
Based in Australia, Mathias leads the technology function overseeing architecture, developer experience, infrastructure and cybersecurity. He has over 20 years of experience in technology in financial services, most notably focusing on digitalisation and transformation. Prior to audax, Mathias led the launch of the first Open Banking API in Australia with Macquarie Group before Open Banking regulations were officially established.
Chief Delivery and Risk Officer
Based in Singapore, Karthik leads the overall platform delivery, risk, governance and customer success functions. Karthik is a business leader with over 30 years of international experience in FinTech, Digital Banking, Retail, Private & Wealth Management and has held multiple roles in large multi-national organisations like Citibank, Bank of America and American Express.
Chief Operating Officer
Based in Singapore, Fernn deputises the CEO’s strategic & operational requirements and heads Marketing, Human Resources and Operations. She sits on Standard Chartered’s Diversity and Inclusion council and helps to drive gender and equality mandate across the bank. Prior to audax, Fernn was the Head of Culture and Fintech Acceleration of The Open Vault at OCBC.
Chief Financial Officer
Based in Singapore, Smriti leads the Finance function for audax. She has held multiple C-suite roles at early-stage companies, heading finance, fundraising, business planning and growth. Prior to audax, Smriti was the Chief Financial Officer at Nikel where she was part of the key management team leading the company’s fundraising and finance operations.
